Biancofiore was an electoral alliance between the two main center-right
Christian-democratic parties, the
CCD and the CDU.
Founded in 2000, it later led to the formation of the UDC.
The symbol
combined the sail of the CCD with the cross shield (scudo crociato) of the CDU (originally from the DC, of course);
all on a blue field with the party abbreviations in white. The flag, rarely
used, was white with the logo [1].
